I fixed up an old Brooks saddle many years ago in what would probably be thought of as a sacrilegious method. I punched a string of holes in each side of the wings and then tied it together underneath with shoelaces.

I have an old brown Brooks B72 that I use on my coaster-brake 'round town bike. The problem is that it's gotten quite flat (and thusly uncomfortable) in its old age.. I've tensioned it up a bit. But the leather seems to be stretching out around the rivets in fron so I don't want to pull it any more. Anybody have a method for getting the "wings" to assume a more vertical position?
