I just got off the telephone with Mike Barry after ordering some TA Cyclotourist rings. He was telling me that TA is planning to phase out the Cyclotourist pattern and that he already can only get the track rings with the extra drillings to attach chainrings. Actually he said that he'd returned a few with the extra drillings and was then told that was how they were coming now. He was hoping to convince TA to continue production as he says that he sells far more of the Cyclotourist style rings than the modern stuff. What to do? What to do? Circulate a petition at the Cirque?
I hope Mike Barry doesn't mind my paraphrasing his words. I really enjoyed talking with him and am looking forward to meeting him and seeing his talk at the Cirque'.
