These spiders are already made by Bullseye. For those that don't know, Bullseye cranks have the 5 pin circle just like TA, he also makes (or made?) a spider to adapt the cranks to 110/74.

Would there be any interest in "Etoile" like spiders, which would allow the use of modern 110/74 or 130/74 BCD chainrings on Cyclotourist (and other 5 pin, 2" {50.8mm} BCD) arms?

It should be simple for me to have my CNC guys run off a batch. (Not so simple I'd take it on before April 15th though ;-) The spider could be designed to give 2-3mm more FD clearance than using a TA outer ring.

Now this won't help on bikes worth keeping period correct. But if people

started using modern rings on their daily riders, they wouldn't be using up rings needed for show-off bikes.

Let me know if you think this is worth pursuing.
