Don't know if the paint scheme is un-italian, but I wondered already if the Cinelli has been originally delivered to Germany. All pre-68 Cinellis I've seen over here have been sold by Brügelmann (Frankfurt) and had Weinmann centerpull brakes, while the Cinellis sold in Italy had Universals. Are there any Weinmann equipped Cinellis in the US?. Also the "collector who got it from the son of..." story reminds me of a similar sentence at the now defunct web site of well known C. Rehbein. (No, I've no clue what happened to him). Bruegelman at least once ordered special painted Cinelli SCs (two colored red and yellow).

Someone sent an e-mail suggesting that the "un-Italian" paint scheme on the green Cinelli isn't original. Any thoughts or comments from the Cinelli enthusiasts?

Thanks for any info.
