Maybe I'm a little dense here, but I thought that, except for the Speedwells he used for mountain stages, his bikes actually were Motobecane Team Champions, just as they were marked. No doubt the team bikes were built by a few select builders, but I never heard that the lugged steel bikes used on the flatter stages were built by anyone other than Motobecane.

So, does anyone know what make of bike was Ocana riding, i.e., what decals and who made it? (This is not a rhetorical question, I don't know.) BH? On some stages he was said to use a Speedwell Titanium (painted to match other team bikes) but obviously not at the moment this photo was taken....
