My apologies to the list, I made a very definitive statement which turned out to be very incorrect. The general confusion stems from the fact that Paramounts built in 1988 have a decal proclaiming the 50th Anniversary of Paramount production. Contrary to what eBay sellers would have you think, these bikes are not the 50th Anniversary Commerative issue. Only those frames with the gold plated forks are actual 50th Anniversary Commerative frames. I previously stated that all real Commerative issue frames were black. I was absolutely certain that was what Richard Schwinn had told me, but enough list readers questioned my statement that I decided to verify my information. Apparently I had misunderstood his original statement. I called him this afternoon and he said that although the dealers almost exclusively ordered them in black, the Paramount 50th Anniversary Commerative Issue frame with the gold plated forks was available in any Paramount color.

Again, my apologies to the list, and I hope that my accidental dissemination of false information didn't cause anyone a problem. Also, thanks to all the readers who contacted me off list with suggestions as to which components I should use.
