Back when I started racing in the early '60s I never heard of bottom bracket height. Everything measurement regarding the bottom bracket that I saw was reffered to as drop. Now if my memory serves me correct, and sometimes it doesn't, road bikes were around 3 inches and track bikes were 2 5/8s or 2 3/4 inches. I could be off an inch or two.
