I never saw any during my time at Campagnolo-USA 1983-1984, the C-Record prototype group we saw in Houston in early '84 had no levers.

I first saw these levers on the Panasonic team pro bikes in 1984. I never saw another pair until they started showing up from England on e-Bay. I suspect these were prototyoes built for the Euro-pros to test.
