Unless in production in 1983 or earlier, right? I mean Cinelli Death Pedals are OK to discuss aren't they? And Teledyne, and Graftek, and ALAN? It could be the earliest indexed shifters were around in 1983 also. I have a Mavic RD on which the cable routing could be varied to index either 6 or 7 speed. I think this was very close to the cutoff date, but I don't know on which side. I did confirm the the late Campy GS 116 BCD crank I mentioned this morning appeared in the 1982 catalog, so this should be on topic despite using the same rings as Victory/Triomphe. So 1983 is not a very clean cutoff, but then I guess no other year would have been either.

You may well be correct, but it still remains Off Topic so we won't be discussing those parts here, right? Dale
