I have for the past year enjoyed being on this list and reading opinions, trawling information and mostly being amused by the exchanges...
However, I am now completely fed up with the constant ill-manners displayed at times and must withdraw.
The recent sniping (from all quarters) about on /off topic / clipless pedals, index changing etc., etc., is the last straw. There may be strict cut-off dates for the topics, but it always strikes me that any infractions are generally responded to in a discourteous manner.
There may, or may not, be a silent majority out there who agree with me, it matters not - but I will observe that one of the greatest assets to the list - fellow UK resident Mick Butler clearly had his fill recently in circumstances which remain unclear, and withdrew. But I do recall his postings being frequently subject to similar ill-tempered / mannered responses.
I want to remind everyone that what we're talking about here is bicycles, which are interesting to us - but actually of no import in the great scale of things.
To paraphrase John Becker:-
"I know it's an overused expression, but I realy think it applies in this case. Get a life. In fact get one life and share it between you - that'll work..."
