If my memory serves me correctly this bike was up on ebay last year along with a yellow jersey that Chiappucci had won in the TDF. The bike didn't meet reserve in that auction. I was very interested in the auction for two reasons, one: the bike was my size and two: a rare opportunity to own a yellow jersey from the tour. I believe it had a buy it now price of around $1,200 which I thought was fair enough given it was a bike with history and came with the jersey. At that time I had a Motorola team bike that had been ridden in the tour and was thinking of selling that bike and picking up this one, but didn't have the spare change. Being that there isn't a subway station in Slatyfork to sit around in and ask for spare change I had to pass on this one. Not sure, but this frame should be on topic considering the builder and his history though the equipment isn't in the timeline.
