Peter You had me worried for a while with your SB Frame number and date of 1978 for 4074. I couldn't understand how this could be. My frame numbers/dates was a reconstruction from my (fading) memory and frames that I know exist. Incidentally I am commentator at the local track League in Reading UK (not Penn) and a competitor turned up last night with a Dark blue/black panelled Ilkeston frame. The Frame No was SB.SH.3.77.T, which as everyone knows was the 3rd frame built in 1977 for Steve Heffernan a BSA Midlet pro, Olympian and Commonwealth Games rider. Thank you Peter for restoring my faith in my memory with your post. I only wish that I had the foresight to make a copy of the builders log from Ilkeston, but then hindsight is a great asset! At least I have most of the measurements and specs of the frames built for the Team from 1978 to 1980. I have had so much response from this post and havn't had time yesy to answer them all, but I will, I will, I promise. Mike M
