Subject: [CR]Scam Sellers: now fake U.S. Postal Money Orders

There was a very informative article in yesterday's New York Times about the recent proliferation of fake U.S. Postal Service Money Orders within the United States. Anyone on the CR list who accepts this form of payment for Ebay/mail order sales should go to the NYT site and read this article, as they give two very useful hints on detecting these fake money orders which may indeed save you a lot of problems in the future. It shouldn't surprise anyone on this list the a lot of the forgery activity is originating from Nigeria, as well as eastern Europe and parts of Asia.

Ads in the For Sale page of the CR web site are so beset upon by these idiot scamsters that many folks have pulled their ads after only a few days. Ugh.
