Dear Chuck & List:
As someone relatively new to the list, I for one appreciate the discussion---even if it has been discussed in the past (1/8/2004) and something well known to you. If the list is not subject to some recycling, then it might reach a point where everything has been said. Additionally, as you seem so fond of pointing out the foibles and frailties of others, might I suggest a less demeaning, less superior tone? This is after all a discussion about a hobby we love and not some informational contest.

Eddy Merckx rode a PX-10 on the Peugeot team and later a Masi painted in the Peugeot team paint scheme. It is easy to pick out in race photos of the period. This is all fairly well known and has been discussed quite a bit on the list. As always, I suggest you start your search for answers in the CR archives rather than us trying to "convince" you.
