Hi Gang!
Its been awhile!..........For starters, we've been busy with the 2nd half of the move. Yeah! We know that our site has been down for awhile.............But it was something that was badly needed!......Just not enough time and hands to get the move to where we needed it to be, anyway we're almost there! The pack is almost done and we'll be sending off 2 containers sometime soon. The day after the 2nd container leaves we're on the road once again to get started on controlling some old stocks.........We'll be doing the motor home thing. Aldo!, Chuck Brooks!, Charles! Dale! and so on. Remember those photos we sent off of some old stocks!...................We'll its coming our way! Cecile and I we're doing inventory last week and it seemed like we we're getting nowhere, on the 3rd day!...............I said this is not going to work! Much to much to count with some of the stocks being in far away places, climbing around on racks 25 to 30 ft up in the air like monkeys wasn't good. Forget the count and lets talk to the man, deal was cut and we worked it out with 3 years to finish up with the buy. It's ''Huge!'' when all said and done it looks to be 8 to 10 containers worth of goods, for starters there is roughly 4 to 5 hundred high end vintage wheel sets! All are still new and unused, hubsets will vary, Campagnolo NR, Early Dura Ace, Gipiemme Crono special and so on with rims being a wide assortment. Why so many wheelsets, I have no idea? Besides the wheelsets there is also 50 plus new Roval wheelsets with lots of spare rims and spokes to back them up. Classic type rims, who knows looks to be thousands to be had. To go with the wheelsets, 4000 plus freewheels, Regina, Maillard, Suntour, Shimano and so on. Bikes, frames ~ Colnago ~ RIGI ~ RAZESA ~ Rossin ~ Coppi and so on with lots and lots of parts. Tooling, lots of that to be had as well, Discontinued VAR cotter pin tool, several of those to be had along with several Campagnolo freewheel tools kits! Anybody in need of one of those costly MAVIC BB threading taps that goes straight through the BB shell, we'll there's a box of those puppies as well along with lots and lots of other tooling.
On another note: Funny thing happened one day when we we're doing the count. We we're sitting down to have some lunch, Cecile was off to the hotel room for something while I was sitting down waiting for her to return........I was sitting there watching a ''HUGE!'' ferry making it's way to the dock about 300 yards away and it was a huge ferry, one that could take on 20 or so Semi trucks. Anyway I was watching it approch the docks and I was saying to myself, I'm not sure but it seems like the ferry is coming in on the fast side!........For a second I looked one way then I felt and heard a ''BANG!''.........A BIG BANG! What the hell was that, I looked towards the ferry and there was a ''HUGE!'' cloud of dust!...........Darn it!......The ferry slammed into the docks! Anyway, several people got hurt and some cars and trucks got damaged as well other than that the front end of the docks we're smashed up pretty good.
Just to make note: We we're planning on being back in the U.S late April but this has been pushed back to later this month to early June? So if anybody was planning on dropping in, please do so but sometime in late July or early August. We're also in the process of making ready of the warehouse here in Holland for taking on ( storing goods ) for some big customers who will requier container service.
Anyway, just thought I'd pass on this info th the list, yes I know there's a few loose ends we need to take care of with a few list members. Anyway I'll be doing my best to clean up some of these loose ends this coming week or so. Once the move is completed and we're back in the U.S, we'll be getting back to the program.
