I have four new/unused copies of the book (to my knowledge, available only in French and only from France) titled "Les grandes heures du Tour de France au Ventoux" by Bernard Mondon. It chronicles all the stages of the Tour de France that included Mont Ventoux, from 1951 through 2002. Even if you cannot read French, you will still enjoy the many great, historic black-and-white photos and the "box scores" (times of the ten leaders to summit Mont Ventoux, top finishers of the stage, and top finishers on the GC that year). This is the revised and expanded 2003 second edition. $25 shipped. (Cover price is 15 euros. The cost of shipping from France has been included in the $ price.)

Of course, the 1967 Tom Simpson stage is covered, as well as the 2000 Armstrong-Pantani duel.

On my first trip to France, in 1994, I met the author of this book outside a bookstore in Carpentras. After my brother-in-law told him that I had ridden up Mont Ventoux a few days earlier, he humorously signed my copy of the first edition of the book "A Lee, 'Champion du Ventoux'". Three days later, I was on Mont Ventoux to see Eros Poli summit first and hold onto his lead to win the stage in Carpentras. The second edition includes photos of Miguel Indurain having to pull his foot out of his pedal to prevent himself going off the road on the descent during this stage.
