I am new to this list. I don't currently own a bicycle, but I am interested in obtaining one just to use around town, for short trips to the grocery, my parents' house, etc.
I have a trivia question for someone who knows about vintage bikes: I am dying to know, what bike is that one that was used in the film "Return to Me"? I just watched this movie on dvd the other night. In the story, David Duchovny's character buys Minnie Driver's character a vintage bicycle as a surprise present. It is a bright red, refurbished vintage bike, but no mention is made in the film of what kind of bike it is.
Does anybody on the list (who has seen the film) have any idea what bike this is? Well, it's vintage, so even if I could find one, it might be out of my price range, but I keep thinking "wow, what a great bike!" I think I'm in love....
