Just for the record, mine has Shimano dropouts.

I've seen several of these, but never with any uniformity in the component set. I read somewhere that many were sold as bare frames, which is conistent with the wide variety of parts on the ones I've seen. (Sorry, I just can't remember where I read this, so it should be taken as apocryphal.)

In any case, you can buy one today for a very modest price, and you get a very nicely built frame with chromed stay and fork ends, deep, sexy maroon paint, and hand-painted pinstriping and lug outlining. I'm surprised that there isn't more interest in them. I suppose that the mystique is diluted by the large number of lower-end bikes that AD injected into the US market.
