I bought a very similar Gios frame (white and blue, 'Professional', black rubber cable stops in tt) in the fall of 87; mine had chrome front forks and a brazed-on hanger for the front derailleur. So 78 and even 83 seems too old.

I picked up a Gios Torino yesterday, cheaply enough that my wife laughed at me, so I must have done OK.

I am trying to figure out the dating,

51 cm Gios Torino White with blue panels Top Tube Decal says Gios Professional

Nuovo Record derailleurs Record Hubs, headset, crankset 1st gen Look pedals

Record 1 bolt seat post

Ambrosio Montreal 36 hole rims

modolo Master Pro brake calipers mated to the Modolo Aero brake levers, these are the white resin levers which will probably help with narrowing the date range.

I'm thinking somewhere between '78 and about '83

Anybody have better ideas???
