Just to add to the list, I have a track frame with a "Baker" name transfer on the down tube and an emblem on the seat tube with a hand painted "Auburn" at the bottom. This would lead you to believe that it was made in the Sydney suburb of that name. I have no other information about the framebuilder. The frame itself must have been a class act in its day with paint over chrome on all tubes and double box lining. I got it from a guy who was about to throw it on a junkpile of old bikes in the local community centre. He said it was a "good bike" which in old Australian means it cost some money when new. The lugs look similar to a early fifties Malvern Star track bike I saw on the web awhile back and it has a Williams crankset. I was meaning to take photos but we are in the middle of house renovations and the garage is stuffed with builders materials and it is in the far corner hanging from the rafters. The condition of the bike is poor. The paint is flaking away from the chrome which is rusted. The alloy bits are white with corrosion and all steel bits are rusty. However, the tommy bars securing the wheels still undo with hand pressure and the wheels still turn. The front tyre is still in one piece but the rear tyre has tried to revert to its natural state so I will have to cut it off. I haven't worked out what I will do with it but it can await the renovations.
