I've noted that on Simplex Retrofrictions, the brazeon version, made for Campy bosses, has a different fixing bolt thread than the clampons. If one presumes the clampon bolt thread is the same as used for the old Simplex brazeon bosses, then bolts from Simplex clampon shifters should work. I've also found SS socket head bolts at the hardware store that will work with the Simplex shifter clamps (I use them to convert brazeon Retrofrictions to clampon). These may work on the old Simplex brazeon bosses as well.

The threads are not the same as current bosses. Are they for Huret shifters? Would Simplex retrofriction shifters work?

Thanks for any help!
