Nice to to read another British enthusiast has joined the "club" Welcome Frank , I to date feel somewhat a lone ranger from this side of the water who follows and contributes to CR . There a some great characters on there to confer with.
Regarding the Paris TDF it appears to be a dream of a model I'm surprised it has'nt created more interest from one and all ! One point Frank mentioned regarding the frame builders Jack Jones and Tom Board , but by the date of 1981 this would have been long after these two retired from the trade. Jack Jones did leave Harry Rench of Paris Cycles in the late 1950 early 1960's and worked as a frame builder for Bill.Newton of Acton where at one stage the frames were in his name later to be changed to W.P.Newton. He built the very frame I so proudly still ride today!
The above does not take anything away from the item for sale as this particular model is worth having in anyones collection .
