On the one occasion I had to talk to Albert at length, he was generous with his time and displayed a good disposition.

We may eventually find that Albert Eisentraut's bad disposition has been grossly exagerrated. After all, much the same was said about Bruce Gordon, but as everyone at Cirque seems to have discovered, nothing could be further from the truth. I think we are all guilty of forgetting how little money there is in bicycles when we ask framebuilders for free help.

As I recall he said something about being asked about the same bikes time after time. You cannot blame him as the only money he makes on an old bike is when he originally sold it not on the subsequent resales. I will bet that all builders with the exception of one or 2 are probably dealing with the realities of a low income unless their

frame business is an adjunct to the business they really make their money at. I know WATERFORD,certainly operating on a larger scale than most KOF builders, has been doing Motorcycle painting and there are probably other examples.
