Subject: [CR]Pic of the Day - Lapebie's Broken Frame

I think that the Lapebie bikes built for the general public in the late 40 and into the 50s were built by Mercier, down in St Etienne. This company seemed to have a monopoly on the use of top Pro brands, including the Pelissiers and Gauthier.

I have a couple of not-too-bad- Lapebies which look very much like a couple of my early Merciers. So if I decide to sell them on Ebay should i just sell the Lapebies, or all the four...or should I wait until memories of Aldo's "Pic of the Day" for the 3 June 2005 have long since faded , as current demand for such frames might have been badly blighted

Gee, Thanks, Aldo
