Subject: [CR]early 60's cinelli - WTB 26.0 seat post, binder bolt

Hi folks,

I just purchased what looks like an early 60's Cinelli frame - serial # 7647. As far as I can tell, the frame has not been altered other than a mid- '70's repaint and is in good sound condition. Since the bike is just a frame and has already been repainted, my game plan is to build it up with early/mid '70 campy NR gear and see how she rides. I don't think I'll get into a full restore mode with early '60's gear.

First step is to get this one on the road to check it out. The existing paint is a nice color scheme, and in good condition - so there's no rush to do anything there.

I'll try to get some pics taken before long and posted.

For now I would like to find a 26.0 seat post - the frame came with one that looks original but is missing parts, very oxidized and pretty knarly. Hoping I can get find a good user that looks respectable. I thought these bikes used a 26.2, but the 26.0 seems to fit properly and looks the right age. Any comments on the seat post size would be much appreciated.

I know this is very unlikely, but I would also like to find a proper Cinelli seat binder bolt assembly. I have something that came with the frame that will allow me to tighten the seat post but it's a makeshift assembly of stuff and I would love to get the right thing if possible. I'll try Jamie Swan also to see if he has a repro assembly.

Thanks for any assistance,
