Boy, no kiddin'... a guy coasted up behind me one time (what can I say, sometimes I like to ride slow) with a Chris King freewheel and I thought it was the attack of the killer bees. I almost ended up in the bushes.

To quiet my freewheels I too (like a previous poster) resort to a mixture of heavier oils or oil and grease... with the proper secret recipe, one can achieve quite a few decibels of noise reduction and still have a fully functional freewheel.
