My quandary is that it's been over a month, Cinco de Mayo ironically enough, that I sold a bundle of Clement 50's --5 tires in all-- to a gentleman for $393, who has not paid me for unknown reasons. I've sent e-mails and invoices, but no response, and I feel just ugly dunning someone whom I respect.

To which Peter responded:

If you pester him, he will pay. If you don't pester him, he won't. It's not the first time. Have you tried calling?

Peter Bridge SD CA USA I would concur with Peter - try calling if you can. However, I would say that it is pretty safe to say that this guy has no intention of paying up at this point. Is he still bidding and buying actively? If he is a CR listmember, sometimes just having a discussion like this on CR will "jog their memory." Have you filed a Non-Paying Bidder Alert with eBay? That may (or may not) help. You can also request a refund of your final value fees. If you can't get this person to respond after 30-45 days of trying all possible ways to contact him, then a negative feedback is probably warranted. Be factual in your comments. Be aware that you will most likely receive one in retaliation - these kinds of people do seem to all of a sudden pay attention when they get a negative FB, and will often fabricate all sorts of lies to say about you - so weigh all of your options very, very carefully before ever leaving a negative. Also be aware that once the two negatives have been left, it is often possible to have them withdrawn (but not removed) for twenty bucks, by mutual agreement, by using Square Trade. I am less than thrilled with this feature of eBay, as it makes it easy to paint an unrealistically rosy picture out in Feedback-land (which is exactly what eBay wants - it really is ONLY about greater and greater profits at eBay, absolutely nothing else matters to them, unless it affects profits...)!
