Well Gang, It was decided and is now decreed by The Omnipotent Despot; Sunday June 12, 2005 the members of The Brooklyn Velodrome Vintage Wheelmen shall meet in Prospect Park Brooklyn, New York at 10:00 A.M. for a vintage ride around and around the park. Meet at The Grecian Shelter on the south side of The Park. It is the open limestone/ marble building of columes with a roof. If you get lost, just go around The Park untill you get to a long flat straight away. It is about half way down on the right. There is parking in The Park: enter at the intersection of Parkside Ave. and Ocean Ave. follow the road, stay to the right, go about 100 yards and enter the Wollman Rink Parking lot on the left. After a couple of hours we'll stop at "The Connecticut Muffin" just outside of The Park for coffee, tea and crumpets. The loop is 3.3 miles around. Slow go'n is 15 minits per, 10 min is good pace, 9 is rock'n. Race pace is 7.30 to 8 minits. Fun is garenteed. Thunderstorms posibble for late afternoon or so they say.
