Subject: [CR]A seam in the headtube means...

what exactly?

I was looking at some frames today that I have in the garage just noticing the differences in them. One of the frames, which is Italian made with nice chromed stays, has spiraling in the bottom butt of the seattube but also has a seam at the backside of the inside of the headtube. Is there anything for certain this seam would indicate as far as tubing used for the headtube?

Thanks,
