The shop I work for is in need of some part time help. The hours and type of work are very flexible, and you just need to be reasonably good with people (it's not that hard, if I can do it anyone can) Some inclination to work on bikes would be a plus, but the most involved thing you might need to do is replacing a tube now and then.
We're right on the Minuteman path in Arlington, Ma., so riding in is possible, as is getting a short ride in after work. There's usually plenty of time to work on your own bike as well.
The money isn't much more than a bit of beer money, but it's a fun place to work. Most of the day is helping folks with little problems or advice, and just running the register.
