My 1972 Windsor has a 26.8 seatpost. Another way you can tell a Windsor from a Cinelli is that, as far as I am aware, Windsor never used the Cinelli full sloping fork crown. Of course there were plenty of Cinelli crowns and some clones around "in the day", so someone could always have replaced the fork on a Windsor to make it look more like a Cinelli. Later Windsors did not use the distinctive Cinelli seatstay/seatlug cluster. Not sure if Windsor's agreement with Cinelli expired, or if there never was an agreement and Cinelli threatened to sue. You hear a lot of confliciting accounts about the relationship between Cinelli and Windsor.

Hey there....

I saw your post on CR concerning your frame. I have owned 2 of these and yours looks like the real deal. Both were not my size so, like you after waiting for one to grow and the other to shrink I sold each one... Given the lug configuration, the only other likely thing it could be is a Windsor (which was/is a Mexican Cinelli copy). I do not believe it to be a Windsor due to the seat post diameter. I may be wrong, but I think Cinelli had a proprietary seat lug which they used as the tubing inner diameter is more likely something like 26.8 or 27.0 (I doubt on a track frame that it is 27.2...but no matter). The Cinelli seat lug is what makes the seat post diameter relatively small at 26.2.

In terms of your current bidder 'message2rudy'---i'd be a bit concerned. He/she just joined a week ago and has no feedback. That he/she took their name after a 1979 ska band--the Specials--- hit song "A Message to You Rudy" does not bode well if you consider the lyrics:

Stop with your messin around You'd better think of your future It's time you straighten right out Creating problems in town

Ru-deee A message to you, Ru-deee A message to you, Ru-deee A message to you, Ru-deee

Stop with your messin around You'd better think of your future It's time you straighten right out

Or else you'll wind up in jail .......

Now of course if you sent a message to Rudy and he/she has replied then all might be well. In terms of other bidders---if Rudy responds then so be it, if not I'd cancel out Rudy...

Great frame by the way and just my size....wish I had the duckets to pay what it'll probably go for. Good luck and take care...
