Like the school teacher who leaves the room and returns to find a mess and many guilty parties eyeing one another, I see that during my traveling that some members of this list have been misbehaving rather badly.
It makes me laugh because at the same time, on rec.bicycle.racing forum, there is a zinger by a former member about me being too severe in application of rules. Oh my...
I seriously do not have the time to go back and read all the mail from this past week, so I guess everyone gets a pass this time. I did see a few messages that ought to cause the writer to be booted immediately. But you lucked out this time, because I cannot read all the cause and effect...
BUT, from this point on, it's back to serious business. I really do not have time to coddle or communicate back and forth with rule breakers. Read the darn rules again and ask BEFORE you send a questionable post. People who write messages which contain "I know this is probably Off Topic" will probably be summarily booted!
As always, I will make these decisions myself; I appreciate all the advice and requests to boot folks(!) but in the end I will make the call. I will miss stuff, and make errors occasionally. Please tell me (off list) if you think I have goofed up on some point.... I will listen and possibly change my mind, and possibly not!
