Mitch, and all,

I just tried setting up a NR with a 28T, and I think it could work with a short enough chain. I haven't finished trying it yet. If the cage is highly tilted on that cog, the upper roller takes a position that is low enough to clear the large cog. The question becomes whether there is enough chain tension to keep the chain on the teeth in the 52/13 positions. The bike, a marginally on-topic Mondonico, has real short chainstays, which might also be part of the equation.
