Subject: [CR]Nishiki International for sale

Rescued from garage sale. My neighbor was going to sell this bike and I said let me try to offer it on the CR. Any CR buyer would ride it and enjoy it's vintage. I used to sell these, but it's been so long ago, wooly mammoths were still cavorting about, and I can't pinpoint the year. I'll describe the machine and you will know, I'm sure Nishiki International, 23c-t x 22-1/2 c-c; or 58.5 x 57. Glossy black, gold decals and lettering with scalloped lugs outlined in gold. Few scratches, but would clean up real nice. Tange Champion #2 tubing, chain hanger, handcrafted by Kawamura, fender eyelets-f/r, 3 top tube cable eyelets, lots of clearance for fenders. Water bottle and pump clips have tape under them, so hopefully paint/ decals/ are not damaged. Rims: Araya alloy ferruled 27x1, spokes fuzzy rusty from age, wheels very straight and would probably last for years as is. Rims will probably take much larger diameter tires, such as 28/32's. Cranks: Sugino GS 170mm., 42x52 drilled out rings. Pedals: KKT Pro Vic II, w. toe clips and straps. R Der.: Shimano long arm 600 look alike. F Der.: Suntour Cyclone M II. Cluster: 6-sp 14x28. Shifters: Suntour Symetric Aero BZ on DT mount. Hubs: Shimano, SF, Qr's, 600 look alikes. Brakes: Dia Compe G sidepull., Qr's, drilled levers, AME hoods, red. Seatpost: SR Micro / singlebolt, / fluted. Avenir saddle Pump: Zefal HP. Bar and Stem: Sakae Engraved Road Champion - Custom, Stem 100 mm. SR. H2O cages: Two Black alloy, One DT BZ mount, One ST clamp on. Computer: Probably old Cat-eye, w. cadence. Might work w. new battery, if not, pitch. This bike has been stored about 15 years. Neighbor's sister wanted to do triathlons, blew out knee running and stopped riding. No spills or dents. Neighbor would like $150. First come, first serve. Or best offer close to it. Best offer if under $150 at 9:00PM Monday, Aug 1, 2005, Pacific Coast time gets it. No double offers or counters, please. Give it your best shot - Once. I will pack bike myself, lucky new owner pays only actual shipping cost. This should be a very nice riding bike, a little TLC will give it a long cycling life. Ted Ernst Palos Verdes Estates, CA
