Listees,,, Ya shoulda been there! E-Ritchie and yours truely made the trip! The Museum staff, Maurice Bresnahan, Chief Judge Dan Borden, and the rest of the gang put on a very nice event for us. The bikes on display ranged from some very cool turn of the century examples(thanks to the Larz Museum and The Wheelman) to present day beauties! I've attended this show since the beginning when it started in the Bicycle Classics parking lot, then moved to Larz. I have to say the caliber of bikes on display gets better and bettereach year Some of the heavy hitters were there in force, Eddy Albert, Ken Denny, Maurice Bresnehan all had multiple examples of the stuff that makes us swooooon! Bianchi, Malvern Star, Cinelli, Alex Singer , Colnago,Raleigh RRA (30's& 70's)!!! ,Masi,Speedwell etc. There were lovely Legnanos early Chris Chances, Finemore/Cycles Calif., Albert Eisentraut, Columbine,Sachs, Weigles,30's Paramount an early Pierce, The VCC guys had a row of early English beauties. There were Penny Farthings, a beautiful turn of the century wooden bike w/ brass lugs ! beautiful!!!A very diverse mix indeed. There were some CR way outa towners in attendance. Gerry Moos, Mark Poore get the long distance prizes. The Wheelmen put on a very entertaining riding demonstration. I couldn't talk E-Ritchie into the pre show ride through the beautiful parks of Boston led by the illustrious Five Speed Jack, but based on the smiles of the returning riders, I won't miss it next year! It was great to catch up w/ old friends and make some new ones. The sky opened up just as the show ended and mother nature put on her own awesome display, rain, thunder, lightning and hail. What a day it was, see you there next year I hope, its well worth the trip!
