Yes that occurred to me too, but a repaint usually reveals itself in some form - old paint or other evidence inside for instance - and this has no signs of that at all. Inside and outside the paint appears to be original. It did come from an Italian shop that had had it for a long time along with the Moser Filotex pictures, so I guess I will have to go there and ask them about it. It also has a little mojo (good luck charm) hanging from the brake cables which I understand was a common thing for Italian racers to do.
