Chuck Schmidt asked "Can anyone name any other famous marque that has the graphics hand painted on their bikes instead of decals?"

While not Famous, C.N.C. Hand painted the downtube graphics, used a sticker for the headtube and seattube "ribbon". they were also French.

A large part of the work they produced never got their own name, but the "team" bike name, perhaps that is why they did not invest in transfers?

When I saw my first example of each of these in 1972 I was amazed that they hand painted the typography on a curved surface, not that easy at all.

Those Herse "house built" parts caught my eye as much as the home spun but elegant graphics.
