I suspect Mark went to Oklahoma where Tiffany's people live. Don't know about Alfred. Heard Bill Laine boogied for Texas. Bayou Bicycles is underwater (with my Pog), and Bicycle Michaels's should be as well (with my Riv Road). Our home survived the storm and was dry as of 10:00 pm based upon my info. I've reconciled myself to losing my stuff -- its just stuff. I took Claire, Casey and the pets to Nashville to stay with friends. I am so very proud of my wife for staying and caring for the sick and injured. The doctors, nurses, staff, police, firemen and EMT's -- indeed anyone who was brave and dedicated enough to stay -- is a hero.
The levies have broken in three places and the house may be flooded by morning as water is rising. Susan, worked at Touro Hospital until 2:00 p.m., then left when FEMA ordered an evacuation. She's to fly back in tommorrow on a state police helicopter with FEMA and NOPD. The media isn't coming close to reporting the devastation and loss of life. Saying that 80% of the city is underwater doesn't touch what's really going on. It is absolute hell in New Orleans right now. Thanks for the kind thoughts and prayers.
Regards,
Carlo
