Sutherlands Handbook 3rd Edition describes Campagnolo 151pcd track chainwheels as 'pre-1972". I'm also curious when Sugino & Dura-Ace switched from 151 to 144. David Benson Auckland, NZ

At what point, if ever, was the record track crank changed to a 144 bcd, or was it ever? Did it stay at 151 to the end?

Because I have what appears to be a 144 Campagnolo track chainring, and I'm wondering if I'll ever find a matching 144 track crank to put it on. Anybody know when the Record track crank was changed to 144, or if it ever was?

Thanks.
