To the CR listmembers. Ray Dobbins brilliant idea of videotaping the talk would help expand the collective knowledge of all members who had in interest not only in restoration, but also the value of their bikes. I am in Australia and would find it hard to make excuses to my better half why I should take a week off, travel halfway around the world to attend a seminar - for an interest that already robs her of valuable marital, co-habitational bliss. Make a video Charles, better still a DVD! Think of us in the rest of the world. It would be better viewing than a sister in-law's wedding video and just as easy to produce. Almost bike porn?! I will take 5 copies. While I have a few member's attention, I will be listing on ebay in a week a Malvern Star 5 Star track/road frame from the 50s that has a track configuration rather than road. Distance between wheels and tubes are close - unlike most 5 Stars which when built up seem long and rangy. Has interesting fork crown that appears to be twin plate but actually cast. Have full new decal set and have a few other particulary nice parts that would suit a resto in other auctions planned simultaneously.
