The only reason I'd disassemble a freewheel is if it is jammed or has broken springs or pawls. Soak it, blow it out with compressed air (or leave it in the hot sun for several hours) to get rid of the solvent, then dribble in oil. Then take some thick grease (e.g. Phil's) and work it into the gap between the inner and out body on both sides of the freewheel to hold the oil in better.
