Subject: [CR]Legnano Olimpiade Chrome

The majority of 1960s Legnano Roma Olimpiades one sees have chrome half forks and stays, chrome fork crown and chrome headlugs.

Mine, not sure of the year but it has centre pull brake fittings so '61 or later, only has the chrome on the forks, none on the headlugs or rear stays. The paint is original, so it is not a question of chrome having been painted over. The tubing, if it makes any difference, is Columbus.

Was this a cheaper version or were they made like this for certain year(s) or is this a less flash, more serious machine?

Any light on the subject will be much appreciated. Hugh Thornton Cheshire, England
