Peugeot used Simplex clips. Some other French bikes used Huret or occasionally REG. Campy clips work, but are hard to install, since French top tube diameter is slightly larger and the screws on the Campy clips are barely long enough. Also an oddball thread, so you can't just buy longer screws.

I suspect Simplex, but they are relatively rare these days. I have often used Campagnolo cable clips, and these are much more accessable (less expensive as well).
