Subject: [CR]Ebay scams

Hi everyone,

I recently bid on a vintage item listed by a listmember on Ebay. Because of an increasing number of solicitations from scam-artists, I recently decided to keep the details of my purchases on Ebay private by engaging that feature. Unfortunately, at the end of the auction, which I did not win, the seller send me an email requesting that I not participate in bidding on his listings in the future; to which I readily complied. I am still a bit puzzled as to why this seller/listmember feels uncomfortable with a buyer (with a couple of hundred positive feedbacks, 0 negative) who wants to keep the details of his/her purchases/transactions private?

On another subject. I recently bid and won a Campy SR crankset 'box'; however, as careful as I've been, I goofed again! I failed to ask the seller (jlldll) whether the blue velvet inserts are included. You guessed it, when the box arrived, no insert! When I asked the seller why he didn't disclose it; guess what? You're right again, he did not even bother to reply. The lessson learned....Caveat Emptor! It's a jungle out there.
