I forgot to clarify, , you don't specifically need a British bike to do the ride, in fact, I don't have a british bike , , , Tom - - - - - - - - - orig: Greetings from Northern VA: There have been a couple of responses to the British bike theme ride I'm leading to the Hunt Country British Auto Classic. . Details are : SUNDAY , OCT 9, 09:00hrs, starting at The Plains VA, , I previously stated that it would be a fixed gear friendly, but I now recommend geared cycles in that there will be some short steep hills ( unless you are a motivated sturdy, stout, strapping fixie rider). Directions: west on I66 from DC , , exit at The Plains ( past Manassas, Gainsville, Haymarket, It's exit 45, I think. turn right off the exit ramp to the town of The Plains, right at the stopsign in the missle of town, next immediate left at service station, next left onto Stuart st just before railroad tracks and park just ahead past the corner restaurant. Plan on an hour from the beltway. . If you need more specific directions, pleas reply off list. regards, Tom Roberson, Gainesville, VA
