Subject: [CR]A premature outing

I need to clear the decks and make more space during the next two or three weeks and will be putting items on eBay including a 22" E.G.Bates and a 1949 Bates with Cantiflex tubing and Diadrant forks. The latter causes me a slight problem as it is currently fitted with an ASC hub and I think that I would do better on eBay if I sold that separately. If anyone has a desire to own a 24" Bates in immacualte condition with a perfect ASC (not original trigger... modified one) please contact me off list and perhaps we can negotiate a mutually agreeable price..

(Two men A and B start to cover the distance between two towns M and N, A on foot, and B on a bicycle. B travels 3 times as fast as A, and they leave M at the same time. B breaks down at a point C, and walks his machine back to M at half the rate of A's walking. He stays there for repairs as many minutes as it took A hours to reach C, and they arrive at N simultaneously. What proportion does MC bear to the whole MN?)
