John S. asked...

"...What is the proper tool/method to losen and remove an Alex Singer stem? The cap has the hole all the way through it - is there a bar one inserts or a pin tool? I don't want to mess it up with my sometimes ham handed hands..."

-- My Alex Singer came with a length of metal rod that fits through the holes which then basically works like a T handle to loosen/tighten the stem bolt. I'm very careful not to lose it.

Perhaps you could find something at the local hardward store ?

Or maybe through Jan Heine's contact with M. Csuka you could get a replacement.
