Pic of the Day 17th January 05 Dominos
It wouldn't take much to send a few spectators sliding down the hill, and the photographer on the right could be the catalyst! Camille Foucaux scrambles up the "Trou-du-Diable" on his way to winning the 1929 Cross Cyclo-Pédestre International, precursor of the World Cyclocross Championship. Note Foucaux wearing what appears to be a (tinted celluloid?) visor worn with a knit hat. From "Le Miroir des Sports" No.468, 5 February 1929.
