Dear Kenyon:
No member ends up accidentally on the CR e-mail list.
You or someone having assess to your computer signed you up and confirmed your subscription. It actually is impossible for someone else to sign you up unless they have access to your e-mail account. The anti-spam provisions prevent that. In fact, even as list owner, I could not add anyone to the list. They must do it themselves.
In the Welcome message to the CR list, I allude to the fact that this list generates a lot of e-mail. You were given the option to choose the Digest form to alleviate that problem to some degree. No question that there are many (too many?) e-mails sent to this list, despite efforts to minimize them and eliminate extraneous postings. But you were warned.
In addition, included in every CR list e-mail you receive, at the bottom, there are instructions to remove yourself from the list mailings. If you want to no longer be part of the CR list, please follow those instructions.
Sincerely,
Dale Brown
