Hello all!
I am working on restoring 3 Harley Davidson bicycles from 1918 to 1920, one of them being a "racer" (I am using that term loosely). Anyway, a couple of the parts have finishes referred to as "White Nickel". There are other parts just called "nickel". Does anybody have any idea what "White Nickel" is? I have had someone suggest it was just Cadmium 1, but I think that was a quess. I always thought Cad wasn't invented untill the 20's, but could be wrong there as well. SO, that could be question # 2, when was Cad first used?
Any help to this marginal on topic subject would be greatly appreciated.
